My name is Seth. I am an independent freelance photographer based in Toronto, Canada. My passion for photography comes from documenting real life, whether it is an event, historic artifact, or a personal profile. What I strive to achieve in my work is not just capture a moment in time but tell a real-life, honest story. I aim to convey the ambience of events or places and people’s emotions through my photographs.

Seth Vane is an award-winning freelance photojournalist and documentary photographer currently living and working in Toronto. His career in photojournalism started as a staff photographer in local news agency in his home country Bulgaria in 2006. By 2014 he created numerous photography and documentary projects across Europe, including Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Cyprus, and Italy.


In his photography, Vane combines the realistic and sometimes brutally honest point of view of the ordinary human situations. His photography challenges the indifference of the viewer by capturing the essence of human emotions, interactions, and lives. Vane doesn’t seek to glorify these essences and realities, but to commemorate the stories that are worth repeating.
